Referrals
Fees
Private practice charges are incurred for services provided. These will be discussed prior to your appointment.
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
The National Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides individuals who have permanent and significant disability with funding for supports and services. For individuals who have an approved NDIS package, your sessions will be covered, so you won’t have to pay a cent!
If you do not have an NDIS package, we still offer privately funded sessions, alternatively, if you are looking to apply for the NDIS, we can help you do so!

An individual may be suitable for Recovery In Mind Occupational Therapy services if they experience difficulties with:

- managing mental health symptoms and developing strategies to prevent relapse
- remembering information, planning, organising and paying attention
- sleep disruptions, difficulty staying asleep or waking frequently
- isolation and avoidance from family, friends and other community activities
- interpreting sensory information in the environment
- obtaining and sustaining employment
- inability to perform regular roles
- accessing NDIS and other related services
Waitlist and Referrals Policy
- Recovery In Mind only provide services to adult clients (18+) with a mental health / psychosocial diagnosis.
- Clients may self-refer or, with consent, be referred by a third party (i.e., family members, carers, NDIS support coordinators).
- Referrers should first liaise with Recovery in Mind to ensure referral is suitable for consultation and for the client’s needs.
- If a referral is deemed appropriate, a link to an online intake referral form will be emailed to the referrer.
- On completion and submission of referral paperwork, the client will be placed on a waitlist.
- **Please note: Client will not be placed on a waitlist until the form is submitted.
- Wait times can vary and during initial contact, Recovery In Mind will aim to give a timeframe for waitlists but this is subject to change and is strictly an estimate only.
- Once a client reaches the top of this waitlist, Recovery In Mind will attempt to contact the client. If, after three attempts over a one-week period (to both client and referrer) there is no response, the client will be placed back onto the waitlist.
- If the client is not contactable, they will remain on the waitlist for four weeks. If they have made no contact to Recovery In Mind during that time, they will be removed.
- In the instance that a client is removed from the waitlist, they may be re-referred in the future and placed back onto the waitlist.
- Clients will be allocated to the most suitable Occupational Therapist (considering client needs, therapist qualifications and client location).
